Covid Update
Outbreak Update: November 20, 2020
As many of you know, Riverview Terrace (and Levante Living) experienced their first Covid-19 outbreak on October 25, 2020. While we were all anxious, this was the time to put all our training and preparation into practice. And we did!
All told we had ten residents and three staff test positive. Eight of the ten residents were asymptomatic--they had no symptoms--and the other two had mild symptoms not typical of Covid-19. There were no serious or critical cases and thanks to the amazing work of our staff, who diligently followed directives, we were able to contain the spread to those initial 10 cases. The outbreak was declared over November 16, 2020.
We’d like to thank Public Health, local physicians, the LHIN and Community Paramedics who all offered support.
We’d also like to thank our residents and their families who supported our endeavors to keep their loved ones safe and healthy. Your support and kindness made all the difference!
A special “thank you” goes to our General Manager, Cathy Borutski and Director of Care, Elyse Konrad, who were both commended by the local physicians for doing an amazing job.
We have a fabulous team at Riverview Terrace, many of whom have been at the residence for many years and consider it an honor to serve the Brantford community caring for seniors. Thanks for your ongoing care and bravely confronting this Covid threat.
